This nationally recognised scheme is aimed at ages 7 to adult and gives a great record of achievement and progression from complete beginner to advanced climber.

The scheme is divided into 5 levels and upon completion of each level, certificates are awarded and candidates immediately start working towards their next level. Logbooks are issued at the start of the scheme (they are very glossy and pretty..) and these form a transferable record of each candidate’s ongoing progress.

If you sign up for NICAS at Extreme Dream and complete Level 1 during your week's holiday in the Highlands, when you go back home you can continue the scheme at your local wall, just where you left off!
