Barrels, poles, ropes and the exclusive use of Drumintoul Loch, what a superb combination!

Raft building at Rothiemurchus is an ideal team event designed to be both challenging and fun.

Each team must build a raft using only the equipment provided; they must then test out the buoyancy of their craft by paddling around a course on the Loch where they will soon discover whether they are engineers at heart!

After successful getting back onto dry land, the team must then completely dismantle the raft to see if they are quicker than their opponents. Remember however, that penalties may be incurred if team members have taken a wee dip in the water!
