| Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is the Scottish
Government’s agency responsible for building sustainable growth
across a diverse geographical area which covers more than half of
Scotland and is home to more than 440,000 people.
Established in 1991, HIE has played a major role in diversifying
and strengthening the area’s economy. Its work encompasses
assisting locally-based business and attracting new ventures, helping
people acquire work-related skills and supporting a host of community
and cultural activities. Moray Badenoch and Strathspey Enterprise
is the LEC covering the area within which Rothiemurchus lies.
